Detailed Itinerary

Day-wise Plan for Your Kashmir Escape

Day 1 - Arrive Jammu to Pahalgam Via Great Tunnel & Barfiwala point (240 kms / approx. 7 hour drive)

You will be met by our HOLIDAY TRAVEL ZONE representative at the Jammu transfer to Pahalgam (The valley of shepherds).The total distance is about 240 kms, and will be covered in about 7 hoursapprox. En-route, visit the saffron fields of pampore, Awantipura Ruins (1100 years old temple of Lord Vishnu built by the King Awantivarman), and enjoy the beautiful countryside. Drive through the pine forests. Arrive Pahalgam transfer to hotel. Overnight stay in Hotel.

Day 2 - Pahalgam - Local Sightseeing (Betaab Valley, Chandanwari & Baisaran)

After breakfast In Pahalgam, Visit Betaab Valley and Chandanwari as well as take a horse riding trip to Baisaran meadowsat your own cost. Later have bridle walks and feed your cameras with the picture of magnificent view of mountains.one can Also Vistv Aru and chandanwari at your own cost. Filmgoers will recognize it instantly as it has been the location of several movie scenes. Overnight stay in Hotel.

Day 3 - In Pahalgam | Pahalgam To Srinagar (90 kms / approx. 2.5 hour drive)

After early breakfast, Transfers from Pahalgam to Srinagar By Road. Sightseeing Tour to world famous Mughal gardens. You will be transferred to Srinagar enjoy Market Places for Shopping and then in the evening, enjoy a romantic shikara ride on the Dal Lake. Also visit Shankaracharya Temple. Dinner and Overnight Stay in Houseboat.

Day 4 - In Srinagar | Day Excursion to Sonmarg (80 kms / approx. 1.5 hour drive)

After breakfast we will drive to the majestic mountain resort of Sonamarg. The route towards Sonamarg takes us on a picturesque country side drive where we will come across rolling hills, green forests, clear water streams and blooming rice fields. We will zoom past the town of Kangan which handles all the local needs of this region. From Kangan, we will drive towards Mammar, famous for its trout farm and stopover for a warm cup of tea before we head towards Sonamarg. We will once again alight from our vehicles at the tourist spot of Gagangir. The spot is built in the middle of the river Sindh and looks like an island with snow glaciers covering one or the other spot. In Sonamarg we will take a 3 hour walk or horseback trip to the Thajwass glacier (By Own Cost). After our return we will visit the small town market for some snacks (By Own) or just pay a visit observing the local people going with their daily routine. We will drive back to Srinagar in the evening and transfer to the Hotel for our overnight stay.

Day 5 - In Srinagar | Srinagar Local Srinagar

After Breakfast, The day will be for Sightseeing Tour to world famous mughal gardens including: Shalimar, Nishat, Tulip gardens,(Asia s biggest tulip garden) botanical gardens, Pari Mahal Cheshma Shahi, also called as a the royal spring :- Cheshma Shahi, is one of the Mughal gardens built around a spring by Ali Mardan, a governor of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, in 1632. The garden is located in the Zaberwan Range, near Rajbhawan (Governor s house) overlooking Dal Lake in Srinagar, Kashmir. All the gardens are situated on the banks of Dal Lake with the Zabarwan hills in the background. In the evening, Visit left out places in Srinagar and then transferred to a hotel. Dinner & Overnight stay at the Srinagar Hotel. Note :- Also visit a handicraft shop where you can purchase local Hand Crafted items-Shawls, Jackets, Bed Covers, Paper Mache, Carpets & much more! In the evening leisurely stroll alongside the Dal Lake exploring the local markets

Day 6 - Srinagar Airport.....Return Home With Happy Memories............

After breakfast drop to Srinagar Airport catch flight for further destination. Transfer to Srinagar Airport to board your flight with memorable experiences of Holiday Travel Zone

Before You Go – What You Need to Know

🛂 Travel Essentials
  • All guests must carry a valid government-issued photo ID for every member of the group.

  • Only postpaid SIM cards work in Jammu & Kashmir; prepaid SIMs are not functional due to security regulations.

  • Flight check-in counters close 3 hours before departure – guests are advised to arrive early.

🏨 Accommodation & Stay
  • Extra beds at hotels will be provided in the form of mattresses.

  • Early check-in and late check-out are subject to hotel availability.

  • In case of non-availability in listed hotels, alternate similar-category accommodation will be arranged.

  • Fixed/buffet meals are provided; room heaters are not included and chargeable directly at hotels.

  • Maximum 4 persons allowed in one room (2 adults + 1 extra bed + 1 child without bed).

  • Houseboats in Srinagar offer complimentary Shikara rides – no additional charges should be paid.

🚐 Transport & Sightseeing
  • Vehicles are available as per the itinerary only and not for personal disposal (e.g., shopping, restaurants).

  • Pony rides, rafting, sledging, and other local experiences in Pahalgam, Gulmarg, and Sonmarg are optional and directly payable by guests. Rates are highly negotiable.

  • Local taxi unions control certain areas (e.g., Aru Valley, Chandanwari, Beetab Valley, Gondola in Gulmarg), so sightseeing to these places will incur extra, direct costs.

  • During heavy snowfall, vehicle changes may be required (e.g., Tangmarg to Gulmarg via snow jeeps – direct payment of ₹1600/vehicle for 7 passengers).

  • Guests must use water carefully, especially on houseboats and remote areas where supply is limited.

  • Air conditioning does not function in hilly areas.

  • Government taxes and service charges are extra.

  • Premium packages include private vehicle per family.

  • Covid safety protocols must be followed as per government guidelines.

  • Expect traffic congestion from May to August in certain areas – patience is appreciated.

🔁 Changes, Cancellations & Refunds
  Cancellation by You:
  • Written or email notification is required for cancellations.

  • Cancellation charges apply as per our published policy.

  Change or Cancellation by Us:
  • We may revise or cancel bookings due to unforeseen events (e.g., bad weather).

  • If cancelled before the trip starts, we will offer alternate dates or full refund.

  • If trip has started, a pro-rata refund for unused services will be provided.

  • Our maximum liability is limited to the refund of booking fees.

  Holiday Plan Changes by You:
  • Change requests (e.g., date or hotel) must be in writing.

  • Any costs arising from the changes will be borne by the guest.

📝 Complaints & Support
  • Report issues immediately to the hotel, transport provider, or our local representative.

  • For unresolved issues, write to us within 28 days of returning with your booking reference.

  • While we strive to help, we do not control third-party vendors (e.g., hotel or local unions).
